The Great American Solar Eclipse

The Great American Solar Eclipse On Meran’s birthday, we got to see  a total eclipse.  The day before, we drove about 7 hours south and camped at Mud Lake (near Idaho Falls).  When we arrived, we were surprised by how few people were there as the place we picked was very close to the ideal

Of Smoke and Rain

This picture was taken about a month ago, close to sunset, over the driftwood catch near the lake. I still marvel at how beautiful this part of the country is. Steven and I are finally winding down from the hustle and bustle of the summer and it feels great to finally be getting some semblance of routine back.

Having a great time

It has been much longer than hoped for giving an update.  Meran and I are having a great time as newlyweds. Our honeymoon was wonderful.  It was great to have a couple weeks off of work to spend with my new wife.  We took a road trip to Park City, UT.  We were there at

Getting down to the wire

It has been a while since I posted.  A lot of stuff has happened.  But Meran and I have been busy figuring out a lot of things wedding related so we haven’t had a chance to tell you about it.  Here are some highlights of the past couple months. But I love him so…

yesterday Steven and I went to a wedding of one of my close friends. it was beautiful and all the girls looked amazing in their flowing dresses. The bride looked amazing and I started to feel a little pang in my side. I think it might have been a little jealousy and a little hesitation.

Planning, planning…and change

As many of you know ever since we were planning our wedding we were planning to poach the idea of a Jeopardy type game from my sister’s ( Myleah) wedding. we were planning on making it rather geeky with having the centerpieces of the tables double as buttons to buzz in with during the game.
